Acetylated Sodium Hyaluronate (Molecular Weight 20,000–50,000 Da) is a next-generation hyaluronic acid derivative produced through targeted acetylation technology, achieving precise control over molecular weight and substitution degree. Unlike conventional HA, which is only water-soluble, acetylated HA exhibits lipophilic and oleophilic properties, allowing dual-phase hydration and enhanced skin barrier repair. Its amphiphilic structure enables deeper penetration, long-lasting moisture retention, and improved elasticity, making it ideal for high-end oil-based formulations such as facial oils, creams, sunscreens, and medical oil-based dressings.
This ingredient is highly resistant to hyaluronidase, showing 13 times the enzyme resistance of standard sodium hyaluronate, effectively protecting the dermis from degradation and intrinsic aging. In skin penetration tests, acetylated sodium hyaluronate reaches depths up to 100μm, significantly deeper than standard HA. By delivering moisture and bioactive molecules deeper into the skin, it helps improve dryness, roughness, and skin suppleness.
